The lacquered brass security rosette is the main collection of cylinder rosettes for the front door cylinder hole, made of solid brass with an acrylic lacquer finish. Thanks to progressive polishing followed by a thin protective coating, the mirror-gold surface remains stable for 5-10 years without developing a patina. The rosette visually covers the cylinder hole and (in the SKG version with core pull protection) features a recessed steel ring around the cylinder core that blocks core pull attacks. This hub contains all shape variants (round, square); click through to the specific shape spoke for the corresponding front door hardware.

Core pull protection. Why is it mandatory?
Core pulling protection is a recessed steel ring around the cylinder core that prevents a burglar from securing a screw or claw wrench in the cylinder core and forcibly pulling it out of the lock. Core pulling attacks are responsible for approximately 60% of successful cylinder burglaries in the Netherlands. The Police Quality Mark for Safe Living mandates core pulling protection for every new front door installation; many home insurance policies require core pulling protection as part of the SKG quality mark requirement.
SKG levels explained
- SKG1. 15-second resistance, for interior door or outbuilding.
- SKG**®. 3 minutes resistance, minimum requirement for the Police Quality Mark for Safe Living.
- SKG***® (SKG3). 5 minutes resistance, recommended for villa-grade.

How do you measure a security rosette
Three dimensions determine the fit: PC size (55, 72, or 92 mm), cylinder pass-through diameter (Euro profile 17 mm standard), and door thickness (38-65 mm). M5 screws and instructions are included.

Maintenance
Clean a damp microfiber cloth with mild soap monthly. Do not use a scouring pad, ammonia, acetone, or brass polish. Apply a single drop of graphite lock lubricant to the keyhole of the cylinder annually (no oil or WD-40).
