Dulimex is a Dutch door hardware manufacturer. Since 1976, we have specialized in reliable residential door hardware, locks, hinges, and fastening materials for the Dutch market. Are you looking for solid door hardware that simply does its job, without paying a premium price? Then Dulimex is a brand you should seriously consider. Dulimex has been manufacturing hinges and locks for the Dutch market since 1976, with a strong focus on a good price-quality ratio. Whether you are furnishing an entire home, completing a renovation, or just replacing some hinges and locks: with Dulimex, you bring home reliable hardware that fits together neatly everywhere.

On this page, we tell you what sets Dulimex apart and which product categories the brand carries. You will read about the DX versions, for which projects Dulimex is suitable, and how to beautifully combine the hardware with your other locks and hinges. We also help you choose the right size and security level. This way, you know exactly what to look for before ordering. Read on!

What sets Dulimex apart?

Dulimex distinguishes itself by offering reliable door hardware at an attractive price, specifically for the Dutch residential construction sector. The brand has existed since 1976 and focuses on solid hinges and locks that perform well without driving up costs. Compared to premium brands like Aprile or Formani, the price point is significantly lower, while you still receive consistent quality and the standard SKG certifications. This makes Dulimex a logical choice if you want to equip many doors with hardware in a single style. You pay primarily for function and reliability, not for a design name.

In practice, you often choose Dulimex for the functional components of your home and a premium brand for the visible eye-catchers. For example, during a renovation, it is smart to choose Dulimex hinges, locks, and strike plates, and a designer brand for your door handles or front door set. This way, you keep your budget under control without compromising on quality where it counts. For a complete housing project, however, you can keep everything within a single Dulimex line for a uniform look. Our specialists are happy to help you make that decision.

Which product categories does Dulimex carry?

Dulimex offers a wide range that covers virtually your entire home. For locks, there are, among others, security mortise locks in PC55 and PC72 with the SKG two-star rating, residential latch locks, auxiliary mortise locks, profile cylinders, and narrow surface-mounted locks with the SKG rating; view the full range in our Dulimex locks. For hinges, you will find plain bearing and ball bearing versions in sizes such as 89 x 89, 125 x 89, and 150 x 89 mm, in black, stainless steel, and galvanized, supplemented by 76 x 76 mm tilt and leaf hinges in our Dulimex hinges. This allows you to put together a cohesive package.

In addition to locks and hinges, Dulimex also offers handy accessories for in and around the house. Think of adjustable window stays up to about 30 cm in stainless steel, black, silver-grey, and white for your ventilation position, and duo shelf brackets for your windowsill or wall shelf. Furthermore, there are gate locks for gates and fences, magnetic locks, and coat hooks for your wardrobe. With this wide range, you won't need to turn to another brand for most jobs in and around your home. If you are unsure which part you need, our advisors will be happy to help you.

What are the DX versions?

The DX versions form Dulimex's professional line, intended for heavier applications and a higher level of security. These are more advanced versions, often featuring an SKG two- or three-star certification, for those seeking greater security than the standard range offers. Examples include the DX gate lock in 55 and 65 mm for a profile cylinder or mortise key, and a DX mortise auxiliary lock with SKG two-star certification in keyed alike or keyed-different versions. The DX espagnolette lock with SKG two-star certification is also adjustable from 530 to 2500 mm. This allows you to effectively handle even the heavier jobs.

The DX line is priced somewhat higher than standard Dulimex hardware, but in return, you get professional quality and clear certifications. For a home where you want extra burglary protection, DX is often a good intermediate step between budget hardware and the more expensive brands. If you want to secure your front door according to the Police Security Mark for Safe Living, pay attention to the correct number of SKG stars. Combine the locks with matching security hardware and a good cylinder for a complete system. Our specialists will be happy to advise you on the appropriate level.

For which projects is Dulimex suitable?

Dulimex is particularly suitable for projects where you want to install many doors in the same style at a reasonable price. For a multi-home housing project, you choose Dulimex because of its consistent appearance and affordable scale. If you are renovating your own home and want solid quality without a premium price, Dulimex is perfectly adequate for most hardware. During a renovation, you like to use the brand for functional components, while potentially using a designer brand for the visible elements. This way, you achieve a good balance between price and appearance.

For a calm, cohesive look, you can select the hardware by color, for example in our collections of black door hardware and stainless steel door hardware, which also include Dulimex versions. If you are looking for a warm brass or bronze look for a classic villa, other brands would be a better fit, as Dulimex focuses primarily on modern, functional shades. So, first determine the atmosphere you are looking for and then choose the matching brand. If you are unsure, our advisors will be happy to assist you.

How do you combine Dulimex with your other fittings?

You combine Dulimex most beautifully by maintaining the same finish throughout, giving your home a calm and cohesive look. For a modern home, for example, choose black Dulimex hinges with black mortise locks and black coat hooks for a consistent black package. For a sleek villa, extend brushed stainless steel to all your doors and windows. And for a housing development, choose one fixed configuration and apply it to all doors. This way, the style flows effortlessly throughout your entire home.

If you want to look beyond just Dulimex, you can easily combine the hardware with components from our broader collections of hinges and security fittings, as long as you match the finish. For the window side, the Dulimex window stays blend in nicely with your other window stays in the same shade. By choosing everything in a single color, the overall look appears neat and well thought-out. If you are unsure about the right combination, please send a photo of your situation to info@deurbeslag-expert.nl. Our specialists will be happy to put together a suitable package for you.

How do you choose the right Dulimex model?

You choose the right Dulimex version by paying attention to the dimensions and, for locks, the security level. For a lock, look at the PC dimension, the distance between the center of the handle and the center of the cylinder, which is usually 55 mm for interior doors and 72 mm for front doors. For hinges, the outer dimension is decisive: 89 x 89 mm is the standard for regular interior doors, while you choose a larger size for heavier doors. When replacing, always measure your existing part so that the new one fits immediately. This prevents extra milling or drilling work.

For your front and back doors, also look for the SKG quality mark: two stars is the minimum according to the Police Quality Mark for Safe Living, and the DX line offers a higher level where necessary. Choose the level of protection that suits the accessibility of the door and the requirements of your insurer. For interior doors, a standard lock without a quality mark is more than sufficient. If you are unsure which size or level you need, send a photo of your door with a ruler to info@deurbeslag-expert.nl. Our advisors will find the appropriate version for you.
