Dulimex window fittings

Do you want to operate your windows practically and safely without paying a premium price? Dulimex window hardware offers reliable window stays, window latches, and telescopic stays for tilt-and-turn and casement windows. On this page, you will discover the different types available, what to look for, and how to install them. Read on!

Why choose Dulimex window fittings?

You choose Dulimex window hardware when you want to operate your windows reliably at a fair price. Since 1976, Dulimex has been manufacturing solid hinges and locks for the Dutch residential construction industry, with a strong focus on price-quality. For your windows, this means functional hardware that simply does its job for years.

While design brands primarily focus on aesthetics, you choose Dulimex to equip many windows with well-functioning hardware at a reasonable price. This is a smart choice, especially for a renovation or a housing project, because you apply the same reliable quality throughout.

What types of window hardware are there?

Here you will find window stays (swing-away and telescopic), window latches with and without cylinder locks, window clips, window stays, and the corresponding adjustment pins and washers. This allows you to assemble the right combination for each window, whether it is a casement window, awning window, or tilt-and-turn window.

The versions are available in colors such as stainless steel, black, white, and silver-grey, so that the hardware matches your frame. Combine it with your Dulimex hinges or view the complete Dulimexrange.

What is the difference between a window stay and a window latch?

The difference lies in the function. A window stay holds a casement or tilt-and-turn window open in the desired position, allowing you to ventilate in a controlled manner without the window blowing shut. A window latch is the crank used to open, close, and lock an inward-opening window.

For a window you want to leave slightly ajar for ventilation, choose a window stay, possibly telescopically adjustable. For a window you want to be able to open and close completely, choose a window latch. You often use both on different windows in the house.

What should you look for in a lockable window latch?

When choosing a lockable window latch, pay attention to the security level and the opening direction. A lockable latch with a cylinder lock and SKG certification prevents the window from being opened from the outside via the hardware, which is particularly advisable for easily accessible ground-floor windows. Check whether the latch needs to be left- or right-handed.

For windows on upper floors, which are less vulnerable, a non-lockable version is often sufficient. This allows you to choose the right balance between ease of use and burglary resistance for each window. Unsure? Our specialists are happy to help you determine the right version.

How do you install window hardware correctly?

You install window hardware by screwing the part onto the frame or window at the correct height and position so that it operates smoothly and the window closes properly. With a window stay, it is important that the adjustment pins and the base plate are precisely aligned so that the window slides open evenly.

Work accurately and use the supplied mounting hardware to ensure the fitting is securely anchored. After installation, check that the window opens, closes, and (for lockable versions) locks smoothly. For a wider selection, also view our collection of window stays.
