Assembly in 3 steps

A simple DIY job of 5-10 minutes per rosette. 1. Remove existing rosette (if present): loosen 2x M4 screws, remove old rosette. Check that the profile cylinder cutout in the door fits the new rosette. Some older cutouts are 14 mm round instead of 17 mm × 33 mm oval, in which case extra routing is required. 2. Position new rosette: center the rosette around the profile cylinder cutout in the door. Square rosette: one edge must lie horizontally for tight positioning. Mark screw holes using the supplied template (or via existing holes if they still fit). 3. Screw tight: use the supplied M4 screws (matching nickel finish), tighten hand-tight (do not overtighten, as this can deform the rosette). Test by inserting and removing a key. It should fit smoothly, without scraping against the rosette edges. If it fits stiffly: shift the rosette 1-2 mm and screw it back on.

Maintenance per finish

Three different maintenance routines depending on the version. Matte nickel (Intersteel, Aprile): damp microfiber cloth 1-2 times a year, no polish paste (scratches the matte structure). Avoid ammonia, acetone, and vinegar. Gloss nickel (Stile): wipe water stains dry immediately, use a damp microfiber cloth for dirt. Avoid scouring pads. Olivari titanium PVD: damp microfiber cloth once a month, no specific cleaning requirements. The PVD coating is self-cleaning due to its hydrophobic properties. For fingerprints, use a drop of neutral soap. For all nickel finishes: absolutely avoid chlorine-based cleaners and acetone (nail polish remover). These can dull the coating over time. Profile cylinder mechanism: in case of stiff key operation, apply dry graphite or Teflon spray into the key opening once a year (NOT WD-40 or oil).
