Matte chrome front door knob
Why matte instead of glossy chrome?
Shiny chrome stands out immediately. It reflects light and sunshine and shows fingerprints quickly. For a modern front door, that is often too much. Matte chrome has a velvety surface that looks calmer, shows fewer fingerprints, and visually fits better with grey or anthracite facades.
For a classic front door, polished chrome is actually quite suitable. In that case, check out the Chrome front door knobcategory for the high-gloss finishes.
What forms do we offer?
The heavy, solid version features a robust, slightly tapering design. It feels solid in the hand, making it suitable for heavy villa front doors. The mushroom knob has a rounded top on a narrow neck. This is a more classic shape, recognizable from 1930s homes and monumental buildings, but with a modern finish.
How do you combine it?
A front door knob is located on the outside. From the inside, you also need a rotating handle. For a matte chrome look, you can find one in the same finish at Matte Chrome door hardware. This also includes a security rosette or escutcheon over the cylinder. See Matte Chrome security rosette and Matte Chrome front door hardware.
Does it fit your door?
The knob features through-door fixing. Measure your door thickness beforehand, usually between 38 and 60 mm. Unsure about the correct size or unsure whether to choose individual parts or a complete set? Call or email us with a photo, and we will help you decide.
