Matte chrome safety rosette, round

A round matte chrome security rosette is an SKG3-certified cylinder rosette with core pull protection, featuring a round shape and a semi-matte chrome finish. It is intended for modern front doors where you want security hardware that stands out without being shiny. We carry the Intersteel version.

Difference between rosette and shield

A rosette is a small round plate surrounding only the cylinder hole. A backplate is a larger rectangular element that also extends over the handle position. For modern front doors where the hardware needs to remain visually light, choose a rosette. For more classic front doors or where you want to cover old screw holes, choose a backplate. Why round?

A round rosette suits classic front doors in the 1930s or 1950s style, and modern front doors with a somewhat softer appearance. For sleek, minimalist front doors, a square rosette is a better fit. Both have the same SKG3 certification; the choice is visual.

What should you look out for?

The size of the rosette must match the lock in your door. Most homes have standard sizes, but these may vary when renovating an older home. Measure the center-to-center distance of the lock beforehand, or send us a photo of the existing situation.

Combine with the cylinder

A security rosette only works with an SKG cylinder. A certified rosette over an unsecured cylinder offers no additional security.
