Maintenance of auxiliary locks
Auxiliary locks are often located on the outside. Periodically wipe the exterior with a soft, damp microfiber cloth; for dirt, mild soapy water works. Avoid scouring pads, ammonia, acetone, and acidic cleaners. Lubricate the lock mechanism 1–2 times a year with a lock lubricant. Never use WD40. Check that the mounting screws are still tight.
