Door closer with scissor arm

Door closers with a scissor arm ensure that your door lasts longer, as a scissor-arm door closer prevents you from slamming the door open or shut. As a result, not only does the door remain in good condition longer, but the hinges and the lock do as well.

Door closer with scissor arm. Robust door closer for heavy doors

A scissor-arm door closer is the classic type of door closer where the arm visibly extends from the closer on the door to the frame. The scissor arm provides a strong lever, making it ideally suited for heavy doors, such as front doors, fire-resistant doors, and utility doors. We carry models from brands such as Dulimex, Geze, Dorma , and AXA.

Why a scissor-arm door closer?

  • Powerful lever: scissor arm provides more force than sliding arm, ideal for heavy doors
  • EN classes 2-6: available for doors from 35 kg to 160 kg
  • Easy assembly: standard dimensions, easy to install
  • Robust and affordable: proven technology, low maintenance costs

Maintenance of door closers

A scissor-arm door closer requires minimal maintenance. Clean the housing once a month with a microfiber cloth and lukewarm water. Avoid scouring pads, ammonia, acetone , and harsh solvents, as these will damage the paintwork. Lubricate the scissor-arm hinges once a year with a drop of dry Teflon lubricant. Do not apply oil to the hydraulic part; it is sealed and does not need to be refilled. In case of noise complaints or slow closing, have the closing speed adjusted by a professional.
